Hot Day, Cold Lemonade
By 2nd grade and Miss Wood

Today is so hot! Let's go to the swimming pool. We should make some lemonade to drink there.

Robel's mom told Steven to get the cups, a big spoon, and a pitcher. Then she told Sven and Mooney to squeeze 12 lemons. After, McKenzie took all the lemon juice and added enough water to fill the pitcher. Then Robel added a cup of sugar. Shauheen said that we needed to add some ice to keep it nice and cold. Robel's mom said we should also put the lemonade in a cooler full of ice.

We all got in the car and drove to the swimming pool. Robel's mom told us to get the cups out of the bag before we go in the pool. While we were swimming, Robel's mom poured everyone a big class of cold lemonade. We swam to the edge of the pool and got out and drank our lemonade.

Robel said, "It is so good!"

Steven said, "It is super good!"

Mooney said, "It is super duper good!"

Shauheen said, "It is so sour!"

McKenzie said, "It is super duper good. Thank you!"

Sven said, "It is so refreshing!"

D: I am sorry

A: Me too

D: I hope the next time it is better

A: It will be ok

N: Thank you
